Dr. Smita Kumar

Dr. Kumar started her dental journey in India before moving to Minnesota to complete her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree (DDS). While practicing general dentistry in the US, she discovered her passion for treating children and bringing smiles to the faces of little ones. This realization brought her to Vancouver where she completed her post graduate education at UBC to become a pediatric dentist.

Dr. Kumar loves to use her sense of humor to make all kids comfortable in the dental clinic. She strongly believes in educating parents about oral health and welcomes discussions and feedback to put the guardian’s mind at ease.

Since moving to Vancouver, Dr. Kumar has discovered a love for the outdoors and enjoys going for hikes around our beautiful province. She also enjoys cooking, playing board games and spending time with her baby boy and husband.
